General Guidelines for Parents
To attain it's high aim the school expects, full co-operation of the students, parents and guardians. The best of school training is seriously crippled unless the home does its part. In order to secure all that is best in the education of the child, maximum co-operation between the parents and the school authorities is necessary. Parents are requested to see that their children spend at least two hours in the evening in reading and writing. All parents are earnestly asked to ensure that the ideals of courtesy and gentleness which are proposed to the children during school hours are maintained at home.

Parents should co-operate with the school`s efforts with total involvement to bring about maturity in their children. This calls for a real understanding of the school's philosophy. It means that parents should strive to become living examples of the values taught to and expected of their wards. it means keeping the principal and the concerned teacher informed of any special problems or unforeseen circumstances necessary for a proper understanding and guidance of their ward. The school desires to have your co-operation and close contact with teacher of your child in order to develop an atmosphere that is conducive to better and effective education. This diary is one of the link which bridges the home and the school. It is an effective medium to attain total harmony/rapport between the home and school:-

• A school diary is said to be the mirror of the school. it is a must for each student to bring their diaries daily to school.

• This diary has been introduced for you and the school staff to communicate effectively. It is essential that you inspect your child`s diary every day.

• All such communication must be counter signed by you so that we know that you have read them.

• Do ensure that your ward does not carry any money to school.

• In the event that you wish to communicate with the class teacher, please use the ruled pages –parent`s Remarks/Requests.

• Absence of your child from class for attending social function is discouraged because it retards the child`s progress and minimizes his/her interest in regular school work.

• Children should do their home work by themselves. Parents should not do the home work or write in the copy/book of their ward or the work missed during his/her absence. it is important that the children develop a habit of studying and working of their own.

• Attention of parents is drawn to the fact that criticism of the teacher or school in the presence of their children should be scrupulously avoided, because it cause the students to loose respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them, it further retards his/her progress. Should you have a legitimate complaint, please meet the principal at once or write in a seperate letter addressed to her. She will look into these matters personally.

• Any communication made by parents/guardian should be addressed to the principal and not to the class teachers and all correspondence between the school and parents must be done through the principal.

• Parents are not allowed to see their children or meet the teachers during school hours.

• Private tuitions are discouraged.

• As the medium of instruction is English, children should be helped to follow their classes easily by a certain amount of regular conversation at home.

• Please see that your ward carries text/exercise book according to the time table everyday. No extra books are allowed.

• Kindly ensure that your ward prepares for the class/surprise test /Examination.

• Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports.

• It is not advisable to bring to school valuable articles like expensive watches, fountain pens, transistor, radios, tape recorders, calculator ,and jewellery. In case of any loss of valuable or other article the school authorities will try their best to trace but shall not undertake my responsibility for the loss.

• Children should be instructed to be careful about his/her possessions. Students are not allowed to wear jewellery in school or have mehandi applied. Violation of these rules will result in heavy fines.

• If your ward is absent from school, he/she must make up all the works he/she has missed.

• Supplementary notices from the school will be placed inside the front cover flap. Please acknowledge receipts of these as well.

• It is mandatory that the diary is maintained properly and is carried to school every day.

• Students are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of the school shall make them liable to disciplinary action.

• The student should be recognized not only by their uniform but also by their conduct and behaviour as students of Seth Dwarka Prasad Education Centre.

• Any misconduct by the parents with any staff member in the school may cause dismissal of their ward. We might be compelled to stop the entry of said parent in the school premises.

• If a student is absent from the school he/she will be allowed to attend the class only after the submission of leave application. Students are instructed to use the regularity Record-absent column in the school diary.

• Student should at all cost stop writing, carving, scribbling, on wall or furniture. Such habits shows a sign of low taste. Any such activity and damage to school property may invite a heavy fine and other punishments.
