Our institution Seth Dwarka Prasad Bajaj Education Centre affiliated to CISCE, New
Delhi came into existence in April 1999. The institution has been promoted by M/S
Tejpal Jamunadas Family, a renowned trading firm of Meerjapur, Uttar Pradesh. The
firm was established by Lala Tejpal Ji 174 years ago after migrating from BISSAU
(Rajasthan).
Lala Tejpal and his descendants – Lala Jamuna Das Ji and Seth Dwarka Prasad Ji through
sheer hard work, grit, determination, business sense and laudable efforts brought
the firm to its present glory and social status. Their distinguished success in
business made them aware of their social obligations.
In the year 1900 Lala Jamunadas Ji erected the picturesque "Shri Dwarkadhish Ji
Maharaj" temple at Bundelkhandi Meerjapur.
In 1916 the grand "Dharmshala Meerjapurwali" at Vrindavan came into being.
Seth Dwarka Prasad Ji cherished the desire to serve the people of Meerjapur in the
field of education. His heir Shri Pradeep Kumar Bajaj deeply devoted to his deceased
father, who breathed his last on 22nd Dec. 1995, laid the foundation of his institution
on 15th November 1996 to immortalize the memory of his father and to realize the
dreams enshrined in his heart.
Meerjapur is located between two big cities of Allahabad and Varanasi. Ever since
we started our journey our endeavor has been to bridge the gap between small town
children and their more advanced brethren from larger cities. Small township like
Meerjapur has its own challenges, difficulties and pressures. Inspite of all these
obstacles we have been able to successfully abide with all the expectations of the CISCE,
to provide maximum possible exposure to our children, to develop English and Maths
skills in our children, in this Hindi speaking belt of Uttar Pradesh and to groom
the personalities of all the stake holders of the institution.
We feel that our efforts has been a land mark to bring about an overall change in
the education scenario of Meerjapur and we are proud of it.
